Watch a movie around one of your houses. I know it sounds lame but most people feel most comfortable in a place they are familliar with and if at least one of you is feeling confident it should help things a bunch.
If you want to go out somewhere, there’s always the cinema but that’s sort of a clichéd “coward’s date”, you could go to the theatre or something for a change of scenery (ooh pun) and see a show, or a musical concert of some sort, they’re always fun and supply a topic of conversation for both of you.
